CERN, Atos and ESA presented HN to IFREMER, on the 4th of October 2013 in Brest, France.
On 4 October 2013 was held a workshop between Ifremer, Helix Nebula, Atos and Mercator at the Ifremer headquarters in Brest, western France. Helix Nebula was represented by Maryline Lengert of ESA, Bob Jones of CERN and Mick Symonds of Atos. The workshop was also attended by around 20 people from Ifremer, which is the French Research Institute for Exploitation of the Sea (see http://wwz.ifremer.fr/institut_eng).
CloudSigma presented Helix Nebula at the 13th Annual Global LambdaGrid Workshop on 2-4 October 2013 at the Nanyang Technological University in Singapore.
GLIF is an international virtual organisation that promotes the paradigm of lambda networking. The GLIF participants are National Research and Education Networks (NRENs), consortia and institutions working with lambdas. The GLIF participants jointly make lambdas available as an integrated global facility for use by scientists and projects involved in data-intensive scientific research.
CERN participated at working meeting for the Vision and Architecture for the GEOSS Information System, on 20 of September 2013, in ESRIN, Frascati, Italy.
The Global Earth Observation System of Systems will provide decision-support tools to a wide variety of users. As with the Internet, GEOSS will be a global and flexible network of content providers allowing decision makers to access an extraordinary range of information at their desk.
ESA presented Helix Nebula at GigaOM: Structure Europe, London on 18-19 of September 2013 in London, U.K.
Structure has tracked and predicted the future of the cloud for six years and has attracted thousands of attendees since its inception, with tens of thousands watching our Livestream. Structure:Europe is a unique arena for the EMEA technology market, and a must attend for any executive or analyst who is looking for ahead of the curve insights in the infrastructure technology sphere.
Cern visited the School of Computing Engineering in Oviedo, Spain in 10-12 September 2013.
The University of Oviedo is a public institution of higher education and research in the Principality of Asturias which has over 400 years of history.
Since its founding in 1982, the School of Engineering at the University of Oviedo has been a national reference center in training professionals.
The event CERN participated, was the Opening Talk for the new university year. The presentation went very well, with increased interest from students and professors.
ESA and CNR presented Helix Nebula at the 2013 European Space Agency Living Planet Symporsium on 9-13 September in Edinburgh, United Kingdoms.
The 2013 European Space Agency Living Planet Symposium follows the previous successful symposia held in Bergen (2010), Montreux (2007) and Salzburg (2004). The event was held in Edinburgh, United Kingdom from 09 to 13 September 2013 and was organised with the support of the UK Space Agency.
